The suspended acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, has been released from detention.
He was held over alleged corrupt practices over some stolen money and property recovered by the EFCC.
It was gathered that Magu was released Wednesday evening.
Magu, who was arrested penultimate Monday has faced a panel set up by the Presidency to probe his activities.
His ordeal was reported to have been instigated by the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami.
Earlier on Wednesday, some staff of the EFCC were reported to have been suspended.
Their suspension was said to be in connection with the investigation into the malpractices Magu was accused of.
