Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has ordered the reopening of worship centres in the state.

The date fixed for the reopening is August 7.

Also, the governor increased the number of people at public gatherings from 20 to 50.

The announcement was made on Saturday by the Chief Press Secretary to governor, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, on his Twitter handle.

“Lagos State Governor, @jidesanwoolu orders re-opening of places of worship from August 7.

“The Governor also increases public gatherings capacity from 20 to 50 people,” he tweets.

It would be recalled that places of worship were shut down in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
