The coronavirus patient declared missing from Ejigbo isolation centre in Osun State, has been found, the government of the state has announced.
Although the details of how the person was found remains sketchy as at the time of filing this report, it was gathered that she was found within Ejigbo community.
Ismail Omipidan, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola, announced the recovery on his Facebook page.
His announcement reads: “Ejigbo 127: The missing person has been recovered a few minutes ago.”
It would be recalled that the Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Mrs. Funke Egbemode, earlier in the day declared that efforts were already being made to find the missing person.
Her words: “This morning we embarked on a headcount and found out that only one person could not be accounted for by officials stationed at the Isolation centre out of the 127 persons.
“The State Government is currently investigating the matter and will ensure that the missing person is brought back to the Isolation centre and we will also ensure we trace all his contacts.
“We want to reiterate that any official(s) found culpable will also be dealt with accordingly.”
