Schools in Lagos State will partially re-open on August 3, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced.
The resumption is for SS3 and TEC3 students only.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, made this known on his Twitter handle.
He added that the dates for schools to re-open for JS3 to to allow for revision classes and examinations would be announced later.
His tweet reads: “Governor of Lagos State, Mr @jidesanwoolu has announced Monday August 3, 2020, for SS3 & TEC3 students ONLY. Dates for JS3 re-opening for revision classes & examinations will be announced in due course (for ONLY Day-Schooling, no Boarding activities).”
Akosile also revealed that all restrictions applying to mass gatherings would remain in force (no more than 20 persons permitted, and this includes funerals as well) while the opening times for government and private offices, markets, supermarkets, eateries and so on, would remain as approved.
“Places of worship will remain CLOSED in Lagos State, until further notice.
“All Social and Events Centers, and Social Clubs, will also remain closed, for now,” he tweeted further.
