There is a fire outbreak at a warehouse suspected to belong to Guinness Nigeria Limited, located at Wempco Road, Ogba, area of Lagos State.
The warehouse is said to be for the storage of plastic crates of products.
The cause of the fire could not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.
The Director General of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, gave a situation report on the incident.
His words: “On arrival at the scene of the incident at 0430hrs, it was observed that a warehouse storing plastic crates which appears to belong to Guinness Nig Ltd used to store plastic crates had been burnt.
“The immediate cause of the fire could not be determined.
“However, agency responders and LASG Fire Service officials are on ground to carry out a dampening exercise to forestall any spread or secondary incident.”
