BREAKING: Fayemi tests positive for coronavirus, goes into isolation

The governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has tested positive for coronavirus.

He has already gone into self-isolation, and receiving medical attention.

The governor made his status known on Wednesday on his Twitter handle, @kfayemi.

The tweet reads: “I took my third Covid-19 test yesterday and it came back positive. I’m generally ok and I’m already self isolating at home and receiving the best of care from my medical team. I’m delegating critical tasks to my Deputy but will continue routine duty from home. JKF.”

Fayemi increased the number of governors that have tested positive for coronovirus.

The governors that had tested positive are Nasir el Rufai (Kaduna), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Ifeanyi Okowa (Delta), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo), Bala Mohammed (Bauchi) and David Umahi (Ebonyi).
