President Muhammadu Buhari has signed into law, the N10.59 trillion budget for the year, 2020.
The president signed the budget on Tuesday at the Presidential Villa.
The budget was increased to the current amount from the N10.33 trillion submitted to the National Assembly by the president.
Speaking during the signing of the document, the president praised the National Assembly for the achievement being the first time after a very long time that the budget would be passed on time.
“I am aware of the regular high-level discussions that took place, between senior officials of the Executive and the Legislature during this period. I commend this renewed partnership, the mutual understanding as well as collaboration between these two arms of government,” he said.
He said they had to sustain the harmonious relationship between the arms of government to move the nation forward.
