A tanker fully loaded with fuel on Saturday exploded as it caught fire on Otedola Bridge, Lagos, along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
The incident was said to have occurred at about 5.30 p.m.
The tanker was said to be moving towards Berger on Otedola Bridge when one of its tyres caught fire.
But instead of stopping according to information provided by the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, the driver of the vehicle reversed.
He was said to have hit a car with a family of six in the process.
No casualty was however recorded.
The occupants of the car and the driver of the tanker, it was gathered, escaped unurt.
