The leader of the faction of the terrorists group of Boko Haram, Abu Mus’ab Al-barnawi, has been fired by the Islamic State West Africa Province.

A journalist, Ahmad Salkida, known to have access to the leaders of terrorists group made the announcement on Monday.

According to him in a tweet, no reason was given for the action.

He said he had been replaced with Abu Abdullah Ibn Umar Albarnawi.

The tweet reads:  “The Islamic State has sacked Abu Mus’ab Albarnawi as the leader of its West African affiliate (ISWAP).

“The new Wali, according to an 18:13 audio recording, is Abu Abdullah Ibn Umar Albarnawi. No reason was given for the sack of Abu Musab (Habib).”

Musab is reported to be the eldest surviving son of Mohammed Yusuf who founded the terrorists group and was killed in 2009.
