Ten persons were rescued Tuesday evening as the boat they were travelling in capsized on Lagos Waterways.
This was made known by the Acting Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, in Lagos, Alhaji Ibrahim Farinloye.
He said their boat took off from Lagos Island and was heading to Ikorodu when it capsized.
Farinloye said the people were rescued following the special support by operators and volunteers “who pulled resources together for the rescue exercise.”
