The Nigeria Police Force on Sunday confirmed the kidnapping of Mr Wellington Magbisa, father of the chairman of Sagbama local government area of Bayelsa State.
The confirmation was made by the spokesman of the Bayelsa State Police Command, DSP Butswat Asinim, while addressing journalists in Yenagoa.
He added that efforts were already being made along with other security agencies to rescue Magbisa.
He explained that the kidnappers, five of them invaded the residence of their victim through an unprotected window before kidnapping him.
His words: “Five men came in through an unprotected window, captured Mr. Magbisa and escaped through the waterways.”
