The Group Managing Director the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Mele Kyari, on Thursday warned members of the public to be wary over some Facebook accounts opened in his name.
He said he did not have any active Facebook account since 2015.
In the warning issued on his Twitter account, Kyari said a Google search had revealed over 25 Facebook account opened in his name by some persons.
According to him, he only communicated through his verified Twitter account.
His message reads: “Beware of anyone posing as Mele Kyari on Facebook. A simple google search reveals over 25 Facebook account bearing Mele Kyari.
“I do not have an active Facebook account since 2015 and communicate with the public only on this verified twitter account.
“Beware of fraudsters.”
