Gerard, housemate in the 11th season of the Big Brother Naija reality television show, has been evicted from the competition.
Gerard’s eviction was announced by the host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, during the live eviction show on Sunday.
He was the only one evicted amongst 15 housemates nominated for eviction in the sixth week of the reality show.
He became the eighth housemate to be evicted from the “Big Brother Naija: Show Ya Sef” edition.
The 11th season premiered on July 26, with 24 housemates competing for the grand prize.
With Gerard’s eviction, the remaining contestants will continue their quest for the ₦160 million grand prize package.
The show is one of Nigeria’s most popular reality television shows, attracting a large audience across Africa and beyond.
