One helicopter belonging to the Nigerian Air Force, NAF, crash-landed on Wednesday when returning from an anti-banditry combat mission in the Northwest Theatre under Operation Hadaran Daji.
Although the details were said to be scanty as at the time of filing this report, no loss of life was recorded.
The spokesman of NAF, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, announced the incident.
According to him, the incident occurred at Katsina Airport at about 3.30 p.m.
He said the Chief of Air Staff, CAS, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, had ordered a probe into the case.
He said NAF, however, implored the general public to continue to show understanding and support for it as it continued to make efforts to ensure safety of lives and property.
“NAF continues to solicit the understanding and support of the general public as it daily strives to ensure the security of Nigeria and Nigerians,” Daramola said.
