Michael Otedola College of Primary Education, MOCPED, Noforija, Epe, Lagos, has fully paid the gratuity and pension of its retired and deceased members of staff.
The disclosure was made on Friday by the Provost of the College, Associate Professor Nosiru Olajide Onibon.
He said cheques had been issued for those on the old pension scheme, while the arrears of unremmited pension fund deductions since 2005 had also been paid up to date.
According to Onibon, 48 months of unremitted deductions had already been paid and the retirees and family members of the deceased could access them through pension fund administrators.
12 retired and deceased members on old scheme, he said, received their gratuity, while 36 members had their 48 months of unremitted pension deductions fully paid.
In the same vein, the Provost disclosed that the College had paid unremitted tax deductions.
Meanwhile, Onibon has expressed appreciation over the support the management had been enjoying from the government of Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
He said the government made the payments possible as a result of the bailout given to the college.
Stating the desire of the college to improve in the area of staff development, he appealed to the government to do more to help the college.
Onibon also expressed his appreciation to the staff of the college for their understanding.
He said they should be more patient as all would be well.
