All public buildings and facilities are to fly the National Flag half-mast in honour of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, and other military officers.
Attahiru and others died in an air crash on Friday.
The order for the flag to be flown half mast was given by the federal government on Sunday.
According to a statement by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, the directive is from Monday to Wednesday.
Also, May 24 has been declared a work free day for members of the Armed Forces.
