Abdullahi Babalele, son-in-law to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has been ordered remanded in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
The order was given by the Federal High Court in Lagos presided over by Justice Nicholas Oweibo.
Babalele, Atiku’s son-in-law was arraigned over alleged case of money laundering involving over $140,000 during the 2019 election.
Also arraigned was Atiku’s lawyer, Uyiekpen Osagie-Giwa, over $2 million cash said to have been laundered during the election too.
The two men denied the allegation against them by the EFCC.
The court adjourned the case till Thursday when their bail application would be made.
