Attacks on the suspended Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, by persons being prosecuted by the agency over alleged financial malpractices have continued.

The latest being by Senator Shehu Sani.

Twice he has tweeted to taunt Magu who is being probed over alleged financial malpractices.

Shortly after the suspension of Magu on Tuesday, Sani tweeted: “When a Hyena is used to catching Antelopes, it forgets there’s a Tiger behind every of its step.”

Several hours later, he sent another missile.

In a tweet, Sani said: “Those who kill by media trial will die by media trial.”

Recall that EFCC under the leadership of Magu has been accused of media trial of persons under probe.

Going by Sani’s tweet, the suspended EFCC boss was being paid back in his own coin.

Former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, launched a similar attack on Tuesday.

He called on the EFCC, Customs, Police, Immigration, Army, Navy, Air Force, Department of State Service, DSS, and others to place the suspended EFCC boss on their watch-lists.

His tweets read: “Just as Magu directed that I be placed on “Watch-list” even when I had immunity as a sitting gov, Magu too must be placed on watch-list so that he won’t run away.

“EFCC, DSS, Customs, Police, Immigration, Army, Navy, Air Force, others, over to you.

“What goes around comes around.”
