Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has sacked three of his commissioners, stating the need to increase efficiency in serving the people of the state as reason.
He has however nominated five other persons as commissioners designate.
In a statement issued by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Olusegun Ajiboye, the nominees are Mrs Yetunde Adeyanju; Mrs Titilayo Adeyemi; Mr Temitayo Oluwatuyi; Mr Fatai Olotu and Mr Akindotun.
Two other persons appointed as Special Advisers are Mr. Tunde Kolawole and Mr Oyebo Aladetan.
The names of the nominees, the governor’s media aide said, would be forwarded to the state House of Assembly for confirmation.
The statement reads in part: “The governor made the announcement at the end of the State Executive Council meeting held on Monday.
“Akeredolu thanked the three commissioners for their service to the people of Ondo State and wished them well in their future endeavours.
“They were directed to hand over all government’s property in their possession to the Permanent Secretaries of their respective ministries.”
