The Super Eagles of Nigeria will battle with Algeria in the semi-final match of the ongoing African Nations Cup, AFCON, in Egypt on Sunday.
Algeria defeated Cote D’Ivoire in the quarter finals encounter battle which ended 4 – 3 via penalty shootout on Thursday.
To qualify for semi-final, Nigeria had defeated Bafana Bafana of South Africa, by 2 – 1
The opening goal for the Super Eagles in the encounter was by Samuel Chukwueze at the 28th minute.
Bafana Bafana equalized at exactly 71 minutes into the match.
Super Eagles’ second goal was scored at the 88th minute of the match by William Ekong.
To get to the quarter final stage, the Eagles defeated the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon 3 – 2 on Saturday.
