The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, has appealed to the people of Lagos to remain calm over the fire incident at Abule Egba, assuring that the situation was being put under control.
Speaking in an interview with TVC Sunday night, the Director-General of LASEMA, Dr Oluwafemi Okeosanyintolu, said all efforts were being made to put out the fire.
According to him, all agencies necessary to contain the fire were already on ground and doing their best.
The Abule Egba fire, he explained, had already been contained and localized.
He confirmed that several vehicles had already been burnt in the fire incident.
He said upon conclusion of the ongoing exercise, a thorough probe would be carried out on the cause of the incident.
He added that measures would also be put in place to prevent a reoccurrence.
