Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, has congratulated Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, as he turns 57 years on Sunday.
In a congratulatory message by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Charles Aniagwu, on Sunday in Asaba, Governor Okowa extolled the leadership qualities contributions of Ekweremadu towards Nigeria’s democracy saying, “Ekweremadu has carved a niche for himself and deserves an enviable place in history for his immeasurable contributions to the Senate over the years.”
“On behalf of my family, the government and people of Delta State, I wish to congratulate my brother and dear friend, the Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate, a party stalwart and leader of inestimable value, Distinguished Senator Ike Ekweremadu, CFR, on the occasion of his 57th birthday anniversary celebration.
“Your Excellency, the invaluable contributions you have made to national development is worthy of note in the minds of Nigerians. You have remained committed, diligent, focused and dedicated to the service of mankind,” the statement added.
The governor noted that Ike Oha Ndigbo, as he is fondly called, is no doubt a gentleman par excellence, a team player and above all, a God-fearing Nigerian.
He expressed his appreciation to Senator Ekweremadu for being an amiable and able leader in the Senate, and on behalf of himself, his family, the Government and people of Delta State, prayed God Almighty to guide, protect and grant the Deputy President of the Senate more fruitful years of contribution to nation building.
