President Muhammadu Buhari has cast his vote in Daura, Katsina State.
Accompanied to the polling station by his wife, Aishat Buhari, he went through the process of accreditation and voting within a very short period.
Aishat Buhari voted before her husband.
Speaking to journalists after voting, the president said during the campaigns, he had mentioned the name of his favourite candidate.
He said Nigerians should ensure that they were allowed to vote for their candidates.
