No fewer than 3,567 students were on Tuesday conferred with Masters degree at the University of Ibadan.
The Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Kayode Adebowale, made the disclosure while speaking during the 2021 convocation for post graduate students of the university.
Adebowale, who spoke at the ceremony held at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, said 8,474 students had earlier been conferred with first degree on Monday.
The award of first degree and Masters (academic and professional), was part of the 2021 convocation and 73 founder day of the university.
The Vice-Chancellor, while giving a breakdown of the graduands, said 3,567 students bagged Masters of Science degree (academic).
Mr. Musliudeen Adebayo, the Oyo State Daily Post newspaper correspondent, is one of the graduands.
Adebowale added that a total of 489 students bagged Masters of Science degree (professional), adding that 20 other students bagged degree of Masters of Philosophy of the university.
He urged the graduands to maintain the good name the institution had built by being good ambassadors of the university.
He said, “I welcome you to the second day of the three day convocation for the award of degree of Master and degree of Master of Philosophy. The Post graduate College of University of Ibadan has continually ed high standard.
“Ladies and gentlemen, yesterday a total of 8,474 students were conferred with first degree, today, 3,567 bagged degree of Master (academic) 489 bagged degree of Master (professional), 20 bagged degree of Master of Philosophy and 71 bagged post graduate diploma.”
