The Senate has confirmed Mr. Abdulrasheed Bawa as the chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
He was screened for about two hours on Wednesday by the Senate before the confirmation.
President Muhammadu Buhari nominated the 40 years old Bawa for the post of the chairman formerly occupied by Ibrahim Magu.
Until his current appointment, Bawa was the Lagos Zonal Head of the EFCC.
Speaking on his appointment, Bawa said his appointment had given much hope to the youths of the country, adding that he would represent them adequately.
Bawa described as untrue, the widespread allegation that he sold assets recovered by the EFCC.
