January 18 has been approved for resumption of academic activities in public and private schools in Lagos State.
The announcement was made on Monday by the Commissioner for Education, Folasade Adefisayo, in a statement issued by the ministry’s Head of Public Affairs, Kayode Abayomi.
According to her, the date was fixed in compliance with the directive of the federal government as part of the measures to stem the increase in the COVID-19.
The schools are to strictly adhere to coronavirus protocols.
The directive affects only schools below the tertiary level.
