Former chairman of the defunct Pension Reformed Task Team, PRTT, Abdulrasheed Maina, has slumped at the Federal High Court, Abuja.

He was in court on Thursday for the resumed hearing over the case of alleged fraud against him when the incident occurred.

His lawyer, Anayo Adibe, was briefing the court that he had not received the records of proceedings which he requested from the registry when he slumped.

Prison officials around hurriedly attended to him while Justice Okon Abang said the court should rise for five minutes.

It would be recalled that the former PRTT chairman is standing trial over a fraud of N2 billion.

He recently jumped bail but was arrested by the police in Niger Republic and extradited.

On Tuesday, his request for an adjournment to prepare for his defence.

Justice Okon Abang, in a ruling, said though the decision to grant the application was at court’s discretion, such plea was a ploy to waste the judicial time of the court.

The former PRTT chairman had, through his counsel, on December 4, prayed the court for a short adjournment to allow him get a brief from his client to enable him do the needful, and Justice Abang adjourned the trial continuation on Tuesday
