No fewer than 15 people have been admitted at Iju Waterworks Clinic for immediate treatment following a gas explosion at Balogun Bus Stop area of Iju in Lagos State.
A gas tanker, according to eye witnesses, was about to enter a gas plant when it exploded.
Two of the people at the clinic have been referred to General Hospital while three others are said to be on critical observation.
Ten others are already being treated as at the time of filing this report.


According to information made available to FrontPage by the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, the incident occurred at about 3.05 p.m.
Also affected, were 16 vehicles, two tricycles, two gas tankers, an event centre and one church building among others.
