Curfew: 150 arrested for violating interstates travel restrictions

Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command on Saturday arrested 150 persons for contravening inter state travelling restriction during curfew hours.

The ten buses in which they were all travelling were impounded.

The police spokesman in Lagos, SP Bala Elkana, made this known in a statement on Tuesday.

According to him, the people were travelling out of Lagos State to various destinations in the northern and eastern parts of the country when they were arrested.

Elkana said the men had been arraigned.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, Hakeem Odumosu, has warned commercial vehicle operators and motor parks against violating interstates movement restriction orders during the curfew hours.

He also warned passengers against non-essential interstates travels during the curfew hours.
