Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu, wife of Ondo State governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has tested positive for coronavirus.

Similarly, six lawmakers in the state have contracted the disease.

The information came a few hours after the Commissioner for Health in the State, Dr. Wahab Adegbenro, died as a result of coronavirus.

Recall that the governor too has tested positive and is at present in isolation and undergoing treatment.

Following her status, Mrs. Betty Akeredolu called on the women that attended a programme she held for widows to go for coronavirus test.

The lawmakers who tested positive were those who accompanied Governor Akeredolu to Abuja where he purchased and submitted the Expression of Interest Forms for the Ondo State governorship election.
