Nigeria on Sunday recorded 260 new coronavirus cases as the total number has been put at 12,486
Abia State has the highest figure of 67 while the Federal Capital Territory came second with 40 cases.
For the first time in many weeks, Lagos was pushed to the third position with 38 cases.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, made the announcement on its Twitter handle.
