One Prophetess Evelyn Owoleke of a Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Bayo Ajao Street, Aboru, Lagos State, has been arrrested by the police.
She was arrested in connection with the death of one 39 years old Seun Olorunto who she delivered of a baby boy on May 4, 2020.
The spokesman of the Lagos Police Command, DSP Bala Elkana, said the case was reported at Oke Odo Police State by one Olaloye Jolayemi also of Aboru area of Lagos State.
“Homicide detectives visited the scene and found the woman lying in the pool of her blood, suggesting that the deceased person might have bled to death due to complications,” Elkana said.
He said the corpse was removed from the church to General Hospital, Yaba, for autopsy.
The baby was said to have been taken to hospital for medical examination and care.
The prophetess described as ‘traditional/spiritual’ midwife was arrested and taken to State CID Yaba.
Investigation is said to be ongoing.
