COVID-19: ‘Corpers’ construct foot-lever hand washing water dispenser

In furtherance of the battle against COVID-19, two National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, members serving in Kwara State have constructed a dual-face, foot-lever hand washing water dispenser.

The equipment is to aid hand washing, being one of the measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus, especially for a large number of people.

The gesture, according to the two corps members -Abdulsalam Abubakar and Obiefuna Ebuka Justine – was to support the efforts of the government and ensure the safety of the people in the state in view of the battle against coronavirus.

The state coordinator of NYSC, Kwara State, Mrs. Francisca Olaleye, who supervised the process  of the project explained that the action was in line with the directive of the Director-General and the management of the scheme to further the fight against the pandemic in the state.

She expressed appreciation to the corps members for the  ingenuity that saw to the execution of the foot-lever hand washing water dispenser project for the benefit of the public.

She assured of her readiness to welcome ideas that would be of advantage to the cause of the scheme by any corps member in the ongoing fight against the deadly coronavirus.

She advised corps members to be proud ambassadors of the scheme at their various host communities by operating strictly under the ambit  of the law.

NYSC in the state recently produced and donated hand sanitizer and antiseptic liquid soap to the state government and the Kwara state communities .
