The Lagos State chapter of Nawair-Ud-Deen Grammar School Old Students Association, NUDGOSA, Obantoko, Abeokuta, has shared the sum of N110,000 among indigent members.

This gesture was made as a palliative measure to cushion the effect of the lockdown imposed to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

According to the Chairman of Lagos State Chapter of NUDGOSA,  Dr  Lateef Odekunle, more members would still be considered when the association received more donations.

The decision came as a result of the hardship indigent members were facing due to the lockdown.

The Chairman of the Welfare Committee, Alhaji Sirajdin Olukotun said members considered were based on their commitment and attendance at meetings.

Alhaji Olukotun while pleading with able members to continue to contribute more towards the development of their Alma mater, encouraged all members to be active and attend meetings punctually.

The Publicity Secretary, Mr Damilola Sanni, said that the Lagos State Chapter of NUDGOSA had been actively involved in the development of their Alma mater and welfare of members.

According to Sanni, Lagos State chapter of NUDGOSA had earlier renovated and retooled Physics and Chemistry laboratories with provision of power generator.

The chapter is also about to renovate a hall and set up a standard Biology Laboratory as 2020 project, he said.
