“Bro Ike, stay where you are jeje, I just dey commot, if you no hear, you go see.”

These are the words of advice from Senator Shehu Sani representing Kaduna Central in the National Assembly to the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu.

His advice came against the backdrop of the rumour that Ekweremadu was planning to dump his party, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Ekweremadu was said to have been sidelined by his party, an action which was said to have made him to consider leaving.

But citing his unpleasant experience in the APC, Sani warned Ekweremadu not to join it.

The message was sent on his twitter handle in Pidgin English.

Shehu Sani, following assurance by the leadership of the APC , had remained in the party even when some of his colleagues trooped out of it.

He was however denied the party’s ticket for the Senate as allegedly promised when it was almost too late for him.

He had to quickly join the Peoples Redemption Party, PRP, which gave him the opportunity to recontest the senatorial seat in the 2019 election.
