F’Eagles start WAFU-U20 title defence with opener against Ghana

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria will start their WAFU B U20 title defence with an opener against the Black Satellites of Ghana in Yamoussoukro, Cote d’Ivoire on July 27.

The match will be a rematch of the 2024 WAFU B U20 final in Lome, Togo, where Nigeria emerged victorious, beating the Ghanaian U20 team 2-1.

On match day 2, the Abdul Maikaba-led team will trade tackles with Junior Sparrow Hawks of Togo on July 30, at the same Lycèe Scientifique de Yamoussoukro stadium.

The team will play their last Group B match against the Young Stallions of Burkina Faso on the 2nd of August at the same venue.

All Nigeria’s Group B matches will be played at 3 p.m. Nigerian time.

The Coach Abdu Maikaba-led side will depart Nigeria for Cote d’Ivoire on Monday, after weeks of intensive training and screening in Abuja.
