A United States-based Nigerian, Dr. Bolaji Odusina, has emerged the Ogun State governorship candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, for the 2027 election.

Odusina, who defected from the African Democratic Congress, ADC, over internal crisis, said that she joined NDC to secure the governorship ticket with the intention to rescue the people from current hardships if elected in 2027.

Odusina spoke during an engagement with Igbo Community Group in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, on Friday, reiterating her 12-points agenda.

The agenda include quality education; accessible healthcare; clean water; upgraded hospitals; insurance; job creation; modern infrastructure; agricultural revolution; security; transparent governance; improved power supply and road network.

The medical practitioner said that the agenda was to ameliorate the suffering and the hardship faced by the people of the state.

She stressed that she would use her understanding of United States’ governance to bring people-oriented projects to develop the state to international standards.

Her words: “I am Dr. Bolaji Odusina and I am happy to have secured the NDC ticket to contest the 2027 elections. I want to thank the leadership of the party for giving me this opportunity and I promise not to let them and the people of Ogun State down if elected as the governor of the state.

“As I have said before I came to join the race because I can’t stand the everyday suffering of our people, especially in the area of infrastructures.  That was why I came with my 12-points agenda which is improved power supply, quality education, job creation, agriculture to mention few.

“I therefore urge the people of Ogun State to vote for the right party which is NDC and vote for me as the party’s governorship candidate as well as Peter Obi as the presidential candidate come in 2027 elections. We will not fail you, and together we will make Nigeria great again.”
