One 50 years old man, Isaac Ubogu, is already in police net over alleged defilement of a three years old girl.
Ubogu is of 31 Awoniyi Elemo Street, Ajao Estate, Lagos State.
His arrest by the police in Lagos State was announced by the spokesman of the Lagos State Police Command, DSP Bala Elkana.
The announcement reads: “On 30/08/2019 at about 1000 hrs, Ajao Estate Police Station received a complaint that one Isaac Ubogu ‘m’ 50 years old of No. 31 Awoniyi Elemo Street Ajao Estate, defiled a 3 years old girl.
“The suspect was arrested by detectives from the Family Support Unit and he confessed to the commission of the crime.
“The survivor was taken to hospital for medical treatment and forensic examination.
“The suspect will be charged to court.”
There were other such similar arrests made by the police.
One Fatai Nafiu is also in police net following a complaint received on Saturday by Bariga Police Station.
Nafiu who is of 9 Adetoke Street, Bariga was said to have forcefully had an unlawful sexual intercourse with a 15 years old girl (name withheld).
A team of detectives from the Family Support Unit arrested the suspect.
He confessed to the commission of the crime.
The survivor was taken to hospital for medical treatment and forensic examination.
The suspect will be charged to court.
In a similar vein, one 34 years old Taiwo Sheuases was arrested by the Family Support Unit for defiling a girl of about 15 years old in Bariga Market Square.
The suspect was arrested by detectives and he confessed to the commission of the crime.
The victim was taken to hospital for medical treatment and forensic examination.
The suspect will be charged to court.
