One 35 years old Bunmi Adeyemi has been arrested by policemen of Bariga Police State for allegedly defiling a five years old girl.
Adeyemi is resident at 8 Alhaji Alake Street, Bariga.
He was arrested by a team of detectives from the Family Support Unit.
The suspect, according to DSP Bala Elkana, spokesman of the Lagos Police Command, had confessed to committing the crime.
The victim was said to have been taken to Mirabel Centre, Ikeja, for medical treatment and forensic examination.
The command’s Gender Unit was said to have taken over the investigation.
The suspect will be charged to court, according to the police.
