The Coordinator, Sanwo-Olu Independent Campaign Group in Ojokoro Local Council Development Area, LCDA, Hon. Oladipupo Okeyomi, has declared that his team will intensify the campaign for the success of President Muhammadu Buhari and Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the 2019 election.
While Buhari is the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Sanwo-Olu is the party’s governorship candidate in Lagos State.
Okeyomi, popularly referred to as Carry Go, made the assertion in his New Year message.
According to him, the occasion of the New Year celebration was an opportunity to exploit more opportunities in the bid to gather support.
“The dawn of a New Year is also a time to look forward, to consider new prospects, unfold our plans, and prepare for landmark achievements for everybody,” he said.
In the message, he appealed to the people of Lagos State and Ojokoro LCDA in particular to vote for Buhari and Sanwo-Olu in the coming election.
He said voting for the All Progressives Congress at the state and federal levels would help increase the level of progress in the country generally.
He also called on members of the campaign team to do more in order to achieve success.
“A New Year provides opportunity for renewal of commitment, and I invite you to rededicate yourselves to the vision of a Lagos that works for all.
“I task all the ICG Committee and Directorates of Sanwo-Olu Vanguards ICG, Ojokoro LCDA, to work collectively and assiduously for the emergence of Buhari, Sanwo-Olu and all APC candidates in our local government,” he said.
Okeyomi also advised politicians to eschew violence.
“I implore the people of Ojokoro LCDA and Lagos State to celebrate the New Year in Peace and desist from violence in their respective localities,” he added.
