Tragedy struck on Wednesday when two serving lawmakers in Kano State House of Assembly were reported dead on the same day.
The lawmaker representing Kano Municipal Local Government Area, Sarki Daneji, died barely minutes after the news broke of the death of his colleague, Hon. Aminu Sa’adu, who represented Ungoggo local government area.
The deaths sent shockwaves across the state’s political circle, given the close timing of the incidents and the prominence of the two legislators in the Kano State House of Assembly.
The confirmation of the death of Sarki Aliyu Daneji was made public by Sanusi Bature, spokesperson of Kano State governor, who announced it via a post on his official Facebook page.
