Busola Tejumola, Executive Head, General Entertainment, MultiChoice Group, made the announcement about the upcoming season at a news conference on Wednesday in Lagos.

The new season is scheduled to premiere over two nights on Saturday, July 26, and Sunday, July 27.

Tejumola said that the new season, which promises 10 weeks of captivating drama, strategic game play, and unparalleled entertainment, would culminate in the grand finale on October 5.

“Today, we are not just announcing another season, we are celebrating a legacy.

“While the official theme for Season 10 will be unveiled on the premiere night, viewers can anticipate a fresh wave of excitement.

“The beloved Ebuka Obi-Uchendu is returning as host, guiding viewers through every twist and turn of the season.

“This 10th season also has the highest prize at stake – valued at a whopping N150 million.”

Tejumola added that BBNaija had become more than just a television show.

“It is a living, breathing cultural force.

“It has given voice to a new generation of talent, creatives, entertainers, and the influencer community.

“It has refined what homegrown entertainment can achieve when it is done at scale with intention and ambition.

“With a two-night opening live show for Big Brother Naija Season 10, the season is poised to build upon the legacy of its predecessors,” Tejumola said.

This year’s edition of the show was preceded by a meticulous audition process designed to unearth the most engaging and dynamic personalities from across Nigeria.

Audition registrations were held from May 3 to May 7,  and saw an overwhelming response, followed by rigorous in-person auditions conducted in Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu from May 16 to May 18.

He was announced winner by host of the show, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, during the grand finale of the show on Sunday night in Lagos.

The winner was presented with N60 million cash prize and a new SUV.

Kellyrae, a 33-year-old professional singer from Delta, who came into the show with his wife, Kassia, is a graduate of Delta State University.

The eight housemates who made it to the finals  are Kellyrae; Sooj; Anita; Nelly; Onyeka; Wanni; Victoria and Ozee.

Sooj, the first finalist to be evicted, said “I am thankful for the journey so far, I feel like a winner and a champion regardless of the situation; I am coming for any and everything; I’m taking the world by storm.”

This was followed by Anita, a model, who expressed her desire to be engaged on the international runway.

She said, “I am excited and grateful right now, I wanted to win the prize but I am here till the last day; I am happy. I will be taking my modelling business to the next level.”

Ozee said: “It’s not about the final winner but the fact that I made it to the end. This platform is like a social experiment where I have learnt about myself. I have a lot I’m working on. Just look out for me, this is just the beginning.”

Nelly, who got auditioned nine times before her final success to the show, said, “I am very happy. I will be growing my restaurant brand. You people should expect something big. I can’t wait to work with all the brands that love me.”

Victoria, the fifth finalist to leave the house, said she would be going back to her business as a travel consultant and would remain open to more collaborations from brands.

For Onyeka, she spoke on her interest in singing, dancing, acting and directing.

The reality television show began July 28 with 28 housemates.

The show witnessed lots of twists, drama, controversies, steeze and romance, as the housemates came in pairs of 14.

The pairs are: Chekas; Zinwe; Mbadiwe twins; WanniXHandi; Aces; Nelita; Double Kay; Shatoria; Radicals; Floruish; Tami; Ndinne; Beta and Streeze.

This was announced by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the host of the show, during the eviction night on Sunday.

The show had four pairs nominated for possible eviction.

They were the Radicals, Streeze, Florish, and Beta pairs.

By the power of “save only” vested in the WannixHandi pair as Custodians, they saved the Beta pair from the week’s eviction roll.

The other housemates were made to nominate pairs for eviction, from the other three pairs left.

This eventually saw the Streeze and Florish pairs evicted.

The Florish pair have their individual names as Rhuthee and DJ Flo, while the Streeze pair comprised Mayor Frosh and Toby Forge.

Upon eviction, Rhuthee said, “I cannot say anything; mentally, it has been a lot, I do not know what to say.”

Also, DJ Flo said, “Well, the plan was obviously till the end, I didn’t think I would be right here. Moving from now the world is my oyster.”

The reality television show, which began July 28 with 28 housemates, would be coming to a wrap on October 6.

There are 20 housemates currently on the show, as eight others have been evicted in the last three weeks.

Obi-Uchendu announced an end to the custodian challenge and Head of House (HoH) ballot going forward in the course of the show.

Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, host of the show, revealed that Kiddwaya and Tolanibaj were the housemates with the least number of votes for the week, during the Sunday live eviction show.

Saskay, Elozonam and Vee, the jury for the week, unanimously saved Tolanibaj from being evicted, putting up Kiddwaya.

While Kiddwaya got 1.95 per cent vote, Tolanibaj had 2.03 per cent.

Kiddwaya upon being evicted said,  “Honestly, that house is crazy, came back to make some new friends, I am grateful to be here and wish them all luck.

“I have lots of project coming up, my fans will get to see a lot from me soon.”

Just after the eviction, Big Brother introduced four additional housemates: Prince Nelson, Kim Oprah, Lucy and Omatshola, ex-housemates from previous editions.

Meanwhile, Obi-Uchendu had hinted during the eviction show that some ex-housemates would be introduced into the show later in the night.

He said the housemates would be opportuned to participate in the head of house challenge, wager and other tasks in the house but cannot compete for the cash prize.
