The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has released the results of the 2025 Mock UTME, conducted on Thursday, April 10, 2025.

The announcement is contained in a statement issued on Sunday by the board’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin.

He explained that candidates could check their results by sending “MOCKRESULT” to either 55019 or 66019 using the phone number (SIM) registered for the examination.

This optional mock examination was designed to test the board’s annual innovations and provide candidates with an opportunity to experience the Computer-Based Test, CBT, environment.

The board gave details about the examination: “A total of 200,115 candidates initially expressed interest in participating; however, two candidates later withdrew, resulting in 200,113 registered candidates.

“Of those registered, 73,844 candidates were absent on the day of the examination, and 88 candidates failed the biometric verification screening.

“Consequently, 126,181 candidates successfully sat for the examination, and results for 115,735 of these candidates are now available for viewing. Additionally, 10,446 results are still being processed and will be released soon.”

The board stated further: “The Board acknowledges the delays experienced by some candidates during the examination and regrets any inconvenience caused. These challenges are anticipated due to the new features implemented to enhance the overall conduct of the main UTME. JAMB appreciates the support of candidates and parents in facilitating a smoother process.

“The mock examination serves as a trial version of the UTME, allowing the Board to test new innovations while helping candidates familiarize themselves with the CBT environment. Over the years, this initiative has successfully achieved its objectives, addressing noted lapses and equipping candidates with valuable experience for the main examination.”

The board urged all candidates to continue making the necessary sacrifices to ensure a better examination experience that effectively served their interests.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has said that it will examine 176,408 candidates in its 2023 mock examination scheduled to hold on Thursday, March 30.

The Head, Public Affairs and Protocol of JAMB, Dr Fabian Benjamin, disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Thursday.

Benjamin said that the board had also directed candidates who registered for the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, optional Mock-UTME that their notification slips would be ready for printing from Thursday, March 23.

“All candidates for the Mock-UTME are to visit https://www.jamb.gov.ng., CLICK on 2023 Mock-UTME on the MENU button to print their slips after inputing their Registration Number.

“This directive is only applicable to those candidates who had indicated interest to take the mock examination.

“The notification slip would contain the candidates’ registration number, venue, date and time of the examination to enable them to easily locate their centres before the examination.

“Candidates are also enjoined to be at their centres one hour before the examination for biometric verification,” he said.

Benjamin said that the board had also reiterated that the scheduled commencement time for the examination was sacrosanct as there would be zero tolerance for malpractice.

He advised candidates against going into the examination halls with prohibited items such as wristwatches, calculators, flash drives, phones, among others.

“They are also warned to desist from the application of “laale” to do fancied drawings and paintings on their hands to avoid unnecessary interference with the whorls of their fingers, which could impede biometric verification,” he said.
