The Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has declared that efforts were ongoing to rescue the four Turkish expatriates kidnapped in Kwara State.

The Turkish expatriates said to be working at Instabul Concrete Limited were kidnapped at a local drinking joint in Gbale Village, Edu local government area of the state on Saturday.

“The Governor is working closely with the security agencies to ensure prompt rescue of the expatriates,” the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr. Rafiu Ajakaye said in a statement on Sunday.

He said the governor urged the people of the state to go about their normal and lawful businesses and not to entertain any fear.

Entertaining fear, he reasoned, would embolden the criminals behind the development, he said.

The expatriates abducted are Yasin Colak, 33; Senerapal, 40; Ergun Yurdakul, 35 and Seyit Keklik, 25.
