The newly posted Commissioner of Police in Ekiti State, Adeniran Adewale, has assumed office with a warning to criminals to steer clear of the state.
Adewale took over from Dare Ogundare who was elevated to the post of Assistant Inspector-General.
Addressing newsmen in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday, the new Commissioner of Police said his deployment to the state was not a mistake but a call to serve.
He said: “This time calls for sober reflection because of the upsurge in insecurity but government is doing everything possible to arrest the situation.
“I am here, and I am in charge, those with weapons should submit them because I will come after them.”
