Ghanaian forward, Antoine Semenyo, scored a 72nd minute winner as Manchester City edge Chelsea 1-0 to emerge FA cup champions on Saturday.
Chelsea held their own for the most part of the game with solid defending but Pep Guardiola’s men eventually found the net through Semenyo’s back-heel strike assisted by Haaland.
It is Manchester City’s second trophy of the season after beating Arsenal to the Carabao cup in March.
City are still in position for a third trophy for the season as they trail Arsenal by two points in the EPL title race going into the last two games of the season.
Captain Bernardo Silva described the victory as special for him as he leaves the Club at the end of the season.
“It is just special to me in my last season to give them another trophy.”
For Chelsea, the loss means their hope for European football is now slimmer as they are in the ninth-place on the Premier League table.
