The Nigerian National Petroleum Company, NNPC, Ltd. has assured the public that there is no plan to increase the cost of petrol.
The assurance was given on Thursday in a statement issued by the Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Ltd., Olufemi O. Soneye.
The spokesman said the news making the rounds about an imminent increase in the cost of petrol was unfounded and should be disregarded.
“Motorists nationwide are advised against engaging in panic buying, as there is presently ample availability of PMS across the country,” Soneye said.
