The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, has declared that he has no hands in the alleged plot to unseat the Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State.
He described the allegation as not only false, but misleading.
The royal father, in a statement issued by his media aide, Chief Adeola Oloko, cautioned against dragging the throne of Olubadan into what he described as dirty politics.
Oba Ladoja said it was illogical to suggest that a traditional ruler could have the constitutional authority to remove a sitting governor.
According to him, even a local government chairman cannot be impeached by any traditional ruler.
Ladoja reiterated his commitment to the traditional institution, urging political actors in the state to refrain from involving the revered throne in partisan controversies.
