The chairman of Sona Group of Industries, Mr. Arjan K. Marchandani, has asserted his companies’ commitment to ensuring food security and sustainable job creation through the promotion of agriculture.
Marchandani, who is also the Baasoro of Ota, Aworiland, made the assertion during the just concluded Ota Business Summit and Trade Fair 2025, held from 12th to 14th August along Idiroko Road, Ota.
The event with the theme, “Industrial Revolution: Potential and Opportunities from Ota to the Rest of the World”, witnessed the participation of industrial leaders, investors, policymakers, and entrepreneurs in general.
Speaking at the occasion, Marchandani stated the vision of his group, saying it looked beyond profit.


His words: “Our vision goes beyond profit. We are committed to building an industrial ecosystem that supports local farmers, strengthens food security, and creates employment opportunities that uplift entire communities.”
FrontPage reports that Sona Group is one of the nation’s largest private sector employers as it currently directly employs over 7,000 people and generates about 3,000 additional indirect jobs across Nigeria.
Sona Group’s operations span multiple sectors, including food and beverages; agriculture and agro-allied processing; durable plastic pallets; furniture, and household items; flexible packaging; laminates and corrugation.
