Orelope-Adefulire to deliver keynote at COSFAN int’l conference

Former deputy governor of Lagos State and current Senior Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs, will deliver the keynote address at the 1st International Conference of the Commonwealth Scholars and Fellows Alumni Association, Nigeria, COSFAN.

The event will take place at Trenchard Hall, University of Ibadan, from October 14 to 15, 2024.

The Minister of Education, Professor Tahir Mamman; Chief Emeka Anyaoku; Dr Richard Montgomery, CMG, British High Commissioner to Nigeria; Mr Femi Falana, SAN, and Professor Oyewale Tomori are among other distinguished dignitaries and speakers at the event.

According to the Chairman, Education Committee of COSFAN, Professor ‘Tunde Ope-Davies, from the University of Lagos, the theme of the conference is “Reimagining an Inclusive Society through Governance, Technology and Social Justice.”

The conference brings together scholars, policymakers, industry experts, and civil society leaders to explore innovative solutions for building a more inclusive and equitable society.

It is a unique platform for stakeholders to engage in meaningful discussions and identify actionable strategies for creating a more just and inclusive society.

COSFAN’s president, Dr. Ekundayo said it was part of the association’s commitment to promote and contribute intellectual and practical solutions to issues confronting Nigeria.

Members of COSFAN and participants from all over the country and abroad are expected to participate in the two-day international hybrid conference.
